Online soccer predictions that win for Lazio – Inter

It’s a great time for another big Serie A derby because Lazio hosts Inter Milan at the Stadio Olimpico. That’s a fixture from the 8th round of the Italian league. Let’s take a look at our online soccer predictions that win for this game.

Lazio are a bit shaky with their new head coach Maurizio Sarri, but they still managed to win 11 points in their first seven matches. That puts them on 6th place in the Serie A standings. So far the Eagles have a record like this – three wins, two draws and two losses. It could have been better, but don’t forget that Sarri just arrived in Rome – he’s still adapting to the club, to the players and to the city. Maybe results will improve in future – we will keep an eye on Lazio.

Before the break Lazio suffered their second defeat for the season. The Romans made the most terrible performance of the season so far as they suffered a 0-3 defeat against Bologna. Nothing, absolutely nothing worked for Lazio at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara. Maurizio Sarri was furious with his team after the game and he had all reasons for this. Lazio looked uninspired and generally not interested enough in winning. Things became even more unpleasant in the 76th minute when Francesco Acerbi was sent off. This means that Acerbi won’t be in the team to face Inter Milan on Saturday.

Maurizio Sarri was very upset with his team’s performance in Bologna, so we expect to see some changes in the line-up for Saturday. Danilo Cataldi could replace Lucas Leiva in midfield while Manuel Lazzari is another option for some adjustments in the midfield area. One of Lazio’s stars Sergej Milinkovic-Savic had a pretty average game against Bologna, but he seems too important to be benched. Nobody knows what Sarri will do, though.

Ciro Immobile was the big absentee in Lazio’s team against the Rossoblu. The Euro 2020 winner had to miss the game because of injury. Vedat Muriqi replaced him at the top of the attack, but here we talk about players from different quality and that’s obvious. So far Immobile scored 6 goals in 6 appearances in the Serie A which proves how crucial is he for the team. Now Sarri and the fans will hope that Immobile would be ready to face Inter – this would make the Eagles a completely different team.

The World Cup winner Pedro Rodriguez is a player who should guarantee better numbers in attack. The 34-years old veteran have scored just one goal in his seven appearances in the Serie A this season. The former Barcelona star is now 34-years old and his legs are not the same, but he remains a very experienced forward who know how to create danger and score goals. The same could be said about Felipe Anderson – another player who should try his best to provide for Ciro Immobile in the attacking phase.

The reigning Serie A champions Inter Milan will look for the win here. The Nerazzurri are currently third in the league standings with 17 points which puts them four points behind the leader Napoli. They are also one of the three teams that are still unbeaten in the league alongside Napoli and AC Milan.

What’s really interesting is that Inter Milan’s head coach Simone Inzaghi is facing his former club. Inzaghi left Lazio to inherit Antonio Conte at Inter, so now he will return to the Olimpico. We don’t expect Lazio’s fans to be hostile to him, but who knows? You never know what to expect from Lazio’s tifosi.

So far Inzaghi is doing a good job at the San Siro. He’s completely aware that it’s a tough challenge he’s facing right now. Inter sold two of its best players in the summer and he has to repeat what a great manager like Antonio Conte did. But Simone is not afraid of the challenge – that’s why he accepted the job at first place.

Before the international break Inter celebrated their 5th win since the beginning of the season. The champions had a tough visit to Sassuolo, but managed to turn the game around while being a goal behind at halftime. Edin Dzeko equalised in the 58th minute while Lautaro Martinez score the winner from a penalty kick just 12 minutes before the end. It’s never easy to face Sassuolo at the MAPEI Stadium, but Inter showed some solid character and secured the three points.

Edin Dzeko is Inter’s best striker at the moment as he scored six goals since the start of the season. The Bosnian veteran started from the bench against Sassuolo, but he quickly influenced the game after coming off the bench. This raises some questions about Inzaghi’s decision to bench him in Sassuolo – maybe Dzeko is a player the head coach can’t allow himself to bench right now.

What makes Inter Milan favorites here is the long bench, too. Against Sassuolo Inzaghi had on his bench players like Edin Dzeko, Arturo Vidal, Matteo Darmian, Alexis Sanchez, Aleksandar Kolarov, Roberto Gagliardini and Federico Dimarco. Lazio can’t use a bench like this at the moment. This is not a guarantee for winning, of course – but it gives the manager some bigger confidence.

Mentioning Alexis Sanchez, he barely plays this season under the management of Simone Inzaghi. The new coach clearly doesn’t trust the Chilean. According to the rumours, Inter will try to offload Alexis in January as he’s obviously not in the coach’s plans. His enormous wages are also a problem for the club, so clearly it’d be better for both sides if he leaves.

That’s the online soccer predictions that win for the Serie A match between Lazio and Inter at the Stadio Olimpico. Lazio are facing the champion after their worst game for the season, plus their best defender is suspended. Meanwhile Inter are moving well in the league so far and they are still unbeaten. We believe that’s the Nerazzurri’s game to lose, but you should never underestimate Lazio – this is a dangerous team.
