In that game Simeone decided to switch his team’s formation as well. He used 4-4-2 against AC Milan in the Champions League, but against Barcelona he switched to 3-5-2. Yannick Carrasco and Marcos Llorente operated on the flanks while Hermoso, Gimenez and Savic started in defense. Koke, Lemar and Rodrigo de Paul started together in midfield.

Both Real Madrid and Barcelona are having some difficulties at the moment, so for Atletico Madrid this could be a golden opportunity to defend their La Liga title. Griezmann should not think that he has a guaranteed place in Atletico’s line-up. Things are a little bit different now and he has some solid competition for that place in attack. Meanwhile some fans are worried that he would hardly reach his previous levels before his move to Barca. It’s up to Griezmann to prove they are not right. Granada are in a dangerous position because they are 17th in La Liga standings and just two points above the relegation zone. Robert Moreno’s team entered the international break in a good mood, though – they recorded their first win for the season.

This happened in the game against Sevilla at the Nuevo Los Carmenes. Granada were underdogs against Los Rojiblancos, but he showed some heart and managed to take the three points. Ruben Rochina became the hero for the hosts as he scored the winning goal in the middle of the first half. This was Rochina’s first goal since he returned to the club from Levante.

Robert Moreno is a coach with good credentials. He did a good job with the national team when Luis Enrique took a break because of personal reasons. Things didn’t go entirely well for him in France, but now he’s more motivated than ever to prove his qualities in the Spanish league. Moreno is completely aware that Granada could be his stepping stone to a better job in future. He’s still very young, so he’s just starting his career.

What Roberto Moreno should fix right now is Granada’s problems in the attacking phase. His team have scored just 6 goals in 8 matches played. That’s not very good, so Granada should raise their attacking game. The Colombian striker Luis Suarez is the man who should bring the goals. So far he has scored twice in La Liga, but everybody expects more from him. The veteran Carlos Bacca is another striker who could be really useful this season. The midfielder Yan Eteki remains sidelined with an injury in Granada’s camp. He played three games so far in the league, but at the moment Robert Moreno can’t use his services.  Against Sevilla he used Maxime Gonalons, Luis Milla and Montoro in midfield, so most likely it’d be the same against Atletico, too.
